SENSORS FOR HEAT TREATMENT

Sensors are designed and manufactured for measurement of atmosphere concentration in primarily steel surface heat treating, such as hydrogen sensors for gas nitriding, nitrocarburizing and oxinitriding, and Zirconia oxygen sensors for carburizing heat treatment furnace.

STANGE SE-H2 is an In-Situ hydrogen sensor, which measures hydrogen concentration of furnace atmosphere through a convection pipe placed in an accurate position representing gas composition. It was developed over ten years ago, since then it has been highly reputed because of durable and reliable
performance backed up by tremendous installations around the world, experiences and extraordinary

OXYGEN SENSOR

STANGE SE-O2 is an In-Situ oxygen sensor for measuring oxygen content in furnaces using a convection tube. Thanks to the special design, it eliminates reference air supply, which allows the sensor to minimize maintenance. The sensor has developed primarily for Nitriding and Nitrocarburizing, Oxinitriding furnaces. Since it has proof of vacuum, SE-O2 can serve furnaces with process stage of vacuum evacuation to expedite establishing furnace production condition and cooling effectively stability .

CARBON SENSOR

The AP Probe is suitable for high temperature carburizing heat treating, carbonitriding and endothermic gas generators. The AP Probe is NOT suitable for nitriding applications. This AP Probe consists of % oxygen sensor, thermocouple sensor, their protection tube and the cold end termination head. Zirconia is a solid state electrolyte which conducts oxygen ions at temperatures above 760 Deg. Centigrade. The ion conduction results in a voltage between the two electrodes. The magnitude of the voltage is dependent on the temperature of the Zirconia and on the ratio of the oxygen partial pressure on the reference side of the electrolyte to the oxygen partial pressure on the process side of the electrolyte. Two electrodes make contact with the platinum coated zirconium element at the tip of the sensor, one outer electrode, one inner electrode. The special alloy protection tube is one conductor for the oxygen probe signal, which eliminates the need of a small signal wire normally exposed to the the furnace environment. The protection tube has excellent resistance to corrosion and oxidation at high temperature, and has good mechanical strength (since Hydrogen causes embrittlement).
